DCM worked with Viastrada on a transport project in New Plymouth focused on a new and improved cycleway route through the city.
Our work included preparing a series of 3D renders and flythrough animations to support a wider transport study and help show how the cycleway would look in a real setting. Covering more than 8km of cycleway, the design focused on improving connections, intersection visibility and public safety. The visual material helped communicate the proposed route to Viastrada, New Plymouth Council and the wider public during consultation.
The project brought the design and visualisation work together into one clear package, helping people better understand the scale, layout and experience of the proposed cycleway network.
